Hyun-Jin Ryu will start the season as a starter Dodgers
The Korean pitcher quite unexpectedly came to the list of five starters of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Dodgers did not know what to expect from Hyun-Jin Ryu before the start of spring training. He very famously started his career in the Dodgers, showing a strong game with the ERA at 3.17 points for 56 starts, but then missed nearly two years with injuries to the elbow and shoulder joints.
It was health that was the main question mark in relation to the prospects of the Korean before this spring, but so far he has managed not only to not get injured, but also to show strong statistics in the form of 2.57 ERA and to make 12 strike-outs with just one uke for 14 innings. The potential has always been on Ryu's side, and now with a set of physical form, he will start the season as the fourth Dodgers starter after Clayton Kirsho, Maeda's Kya and Rich Hill. Brandon McCarthy and Alex Wood will fight for the remaining place in the rotation of Los Angeles.
